Restoration of right relationship — between one another, and with the living Earth. ARC moves land, water, and livelihood beyond the logic of extraction and speculation, into perpetual trust: held for the commonwealth of members and the more-than-human world, in alignment with deep stewardship.
Soil is the foundation of life. By regenerating the Earth we regenerate ourselves: healthy, vibrant soil is the key to unlocking abundance and resilience. As in nature, abundance flows from optimizing cycles — communities designed to mimic the efficient, self-sustaining patterns of living ecosystems.
The true wealth we grow is measured in the depth of our relationships, the vibrancy of our ecosystems, and the realization of our collective potential. Perpetual Purpose Trust
Each ARC is anchored in a trust aligned with the mission. Individuals and institutions lend resources on favorable terms; the trust acquires and develops land, water, food, energy, and data resources for the commonwealth.
Mutual Aid Membership
Members form mutual-aid agreements with the trust, contributing money, labor, and in-kind offerings — and enjoy a healthy baseline of well-being: shelter, water, food, energy, data, and social connection, according to need.
Holonic Governance
ARC is governed by self-organizing holons at every level — intimates, families, circles and working groups, nodes, and federations — so agency lives at the scale where life actually happens.
Cooperative Incubation
Each community acts as an incubator for cooperative enterprises, keeping values-aligned majority ownership in community hands while welcoming outside investment as a minority partner.
Regenerative Economics
ARC amortizes its debts expeditiously while favoring investment over debt service, maintains an export surplus in services, and favors trade between ARC nodes — regenerating land and water across every site.
The Procreative Cycle
An ARC reaches maturity when fully developed — and then begins seeding new communities. Not a walled garden but a spreading grove: communities giving rise to communities, for the long arc.

Alhambra Valley Center for Regenerative Living
Eighty acres of spectacular oak woodland on and adjacent to Briones Regional Park, just downstream from the historic spring of the Alhambra Water Company — twenty-five minutes from Oakland, a world away from business as usual.
A research institute and demonstration site focused on discovering new ways — and remembering old ways — of living in harmony with each other and the Earth: a regional accelerator and think/do tank generating patterns of relationship and technology for the broader world, in continuous, generative exchange with the surrounding community and bioregion.
